Housing Support Services
Welcome to the Access to Housing database. This resource has been designed to help individuals and families who are homeless or are at risk of homelessness search for available rental accommodations in Simcoe County. These listings may or may not be listed in your local paper and rely on landlord information that has been provided to local housing support agencies. These agencies screen all landlord information and post listing information as it is available.
If you are seeking affordable rental accommodations or are at risk of losing your current accommodations, it is recommended that you make contact with one of the local housing support agencies listed below. These agencies are contracted by the County of Simcoe to support residents experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of homelessness by connecting individuals and families to the system of community services that will help with obtaining and retaining housing.
Services Available through Housing Support Agencies Include:
- Emergency Energy fund assistance
- Winter Warmth fund assistance
- Rent Bank assistance
- Access to a housing support coordinator to assist you with your housing search
- Information and referrals to other community services
- Assistance in completing subsidized housing applications and other related forms and applications
- Residential Tenancy Act information and advocacy
- Landlord registry list

Library Skype Locations
We now have Skype locations set up at the following local libraries: Elmvale, Stayner, Creemore & New Lowell. People can go to these local libraries and call in to connect with a housing support worker via Skype.
